DAY CAMP

FAQ's

For questions regarding specific safety procedures (face coverings, social distancing, etc.), please reference our new Safety Protocols page.

What are my session options?

  • Sessions run M-F from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for 5 consecutive days (June 14-August 27)

  • Open Pods must sign-up for at least one session (5 session days, must be consecutive)

  • Private Pods must sign-up for a minimum of two sessions (10 session days, do NOT have to be consecutive)

What’s an Open Pod?

  • OPEN PODS ARE FOR INDIVIDUAL FAMILIES WHO DO NOT HAVE A GROUP TO SIGN-UP WITH

  • An open pod is a stable group of 6-12 kids, GROUPED TOGETHER BY PATHS & PAGES, who remain together for their entire camp experience.

  • Kids will not change from one pod to another and pods won’t mix with each other.

  • Pods will travel together in the same van to the same location.

  • Open Pods must sign-up for at least one session

What’s a Private Pod?

  • PRIVATE PODS ARE FOR FAMILIES WHO WANT TO SIGN-UP WITH A PRIVATE GROUP OF 6-12 KIDS

  • A private pod is a stable group of 6-12 kids CREATED BY FAMILIES who sign-up (and remain) together for their entire camp experience.

  • Families create their own private pods.

  • Kids will not change from one pod to another and pods won’t mix with each other.

  • Pods will travel together in the same van to the same location.

  • Families in each pod determine the details of their pod safety guidelines together (with guidance and support from P&P staff).

  • Private pods must sign-up for a minimum of two sessions

I setup a Private Pod and we're ready to apply! Now what?

  • Every Private Pod needs a designated Pod Leader (Main Parent Contact)

  • Pod Leader fills out the application form.

  • Staff will review forms and approve new pods based on availability.

  • Each family receives an email to complete registration and submit payment (sent to email address provided by the Pod Leader).

  • Once all families in a pod submit payment and paperwork, your pod is confirmed. You will receive confirmation about your pod via email.

  • Each family has 48 hours to complete registration and submit payment.

  • If we don't receive paperwork & payment within 48 hours from every family in your pod, the entire pod is forfeited.

I don't have a pod! How do I sign-up?

  • You DO NOT need to form a private pod to sign-up for camp. WE HAVE OPEN PODS THIS SUMMER!

  • For our Westside Location, REGISTER HERE

  • For our Eastside Location, REGISTER HERE

Are counselors vaccinated? Does my child need to be vaccinated to attend camp?

While the majority of our counselors have chosen to be vaccinated, mandatory VACCINATIONS ARE NOT and NEVER WILL BE a requirement to attend our programs. We trust you to make your own decisions regarding the health and safety of your family and our holistic program is for EVERYONE.

Some beaches and parks in L.A. are still closed. I don’t want my kids around crowds. Where will you go?

  • We have a vast collection of secluded nature spots that will remain open throughout the summer (including places outside of L.A. County).

  • This may mean a bit of extra time in the van, but van trips will never exceed 90-minutes.

  • Current locations may include: Angeles National Forest, Ventura County & Orange County as well as our regular Santa Monica Mountains & Malibu spots.

How many kids ride in each van? How many counselors?

Vans are separated by pod. There are 6-12 kiddos per van with 1-2 counselors, depending on the group (minimum 6:1 ratio)

My kiddo needs a booster seat to ride in the van. Do we have to provide our own?

Sometimes. Paths & Pages has a limited number of booster seats for those who need them. Please let us know in the AM at drop-off if you prefer your child use a booster in the van. If we don't have enough, we may ask you to bring one.

So many camps have closed. How has Paths & Pages been able to stay open?

We feel lucky to be one of the very few camps able to remain open through this pandemic. Through the development of our private pod system, we adapted our program to comply with ever-changing Covid-19 safety measures and are continuing to follow strict protocols from the CDC, LA Public Health Dept and the American Camp Association.
